Stores use my name to market products?
My name is Jared. I.e, Subway’s Jared, and Jared Jewelry. Now thats all I hear from people I meet, "oh Jared, like that guy from subway" its so annoying. Can I sue somebody??
It can only be Jared is not a bad thing to be told, my man. How’d you like to be in my position where people use my first name to refer to the toilet?

You’d be better off applying for a job at Subway rather than trying to sue them. No, you can’t sue.

They are not using your name, they are using the same name that you have.

No. You can’t sue for this. In order for you to be able to sue, you’d have to prove they took YOUR name, not just the same name as yours. Those two differences are huge. Unfortunately, you’re just going to have to get used to it or change your name.

No because they are not using your likeness. You are not the JARED they are referring to. The name is a very common name. Think of Micheal’s art store, etc… People with common names have this common problem!
