What do you think? Honestly?

I am a part time jewelry designer. My grandmother, mother and I own a small business. Tomorrow, we have a craft show. (Thats where different places and companies ask a lot of crafters to come to their place for a day and sell their stuff.)

My mother and grandmother do these hand painted hand drawn light up glass blocks. They are really very easy and simple to make – not to meantion cheap. It costs approximately $4 to make one. They sell them for $30.

I make jewelry. I like working with hemp, but I like silver as well. I only work with REAL silver – either italian or indian. Last night, I tried my first gold necklace. It turned out nice. I wouldn’t wear it because I’m not a gold type o’ gal, but it’s still pretty. Oh – and it’s only 14k g plated.

My mother has never seen my silver work before. I showed it to her for the very first time tonight and she told me that it wouldn’t sell – especially for how much I priced it as. ($15 for a REAL silver chain isn’t bad!)
So, I’ve attatched a link to the photos. I apologize for the poor quality, but it’s the best I could do. Tell me what you think. Would you buy it? If so, would you pay (a very reasonable price) of $15 for it? I will be at a very "ritzy" high school.

I really need your honest opinions. I can deal with consturctive critism.

Thank you!!!

The first three you had shown were nice– I liked the dragon one a lot. After that, I couldn’t tell, as the pictures were plurry and such. Some of them I could see on my sister, who loves that stuff.

I would put them up and see who takes it. I mean, learn about the people from the people.

But then again, I know nothing about jewelry.

Jews of Iraq? What about them?

I am not a "gold person" either. I think you jewelry is beautiful. However most people that wear silver probably wont pay that much for it. I usually wear platinum because some jewelry breaks me out but if I buy something silver I want it to be something cheap! But of course most things at tradeshows are overpriced.

I’m impressed!!! I think $15 sounds more than fair. How bout compromising with your Mom? Ask her about trying it this time and seeing how it goes. If they don’t sell, she hasn’t lost anything.

    Good luck and great job!!!!
