The Jewelery Carver (we never knew his name) is famous for his ability to filigree images of the finest detail in silver and gold. His father wrote 827 Hindi letters on a grain of rice and would engrave a human hair with famous peoples profiles. He presented President Clinton with his profile when he visited India. And he did these remarkable feats with no magnification! If you visit Jaisalmer his shop is right next to the museum as one enters the fort.
