Tag line for an exotic & chic handcrafted jewelry business?
I make solid silver and gold jewelry with high-quality semi-precious gemstones. The look will be inspired by exotic and ancient motifs, but will also be sleek and modern. I was thinking of using
"handmade for the adventurous"
For my tagline. I want to target women, age 20-40, who value wearing jewelry that is distinctive, has meaning, and yet, is chic and classy in appearance.
Do you think my tagline works, or do you think I would be alienating a part of my target group with the word ‘adventurous’? My jewelry can be worn with business suits, jeans, or with that little black dress, so it is really versatile. I was thinking of also including a handmade luggage tag as a freebie with every order to reinforce the idea of the ‘adventure’. What do you think?
Not grabbing me and I think I’m right in middle of your target audience. The word adventurous feels too vague… Makes me think of either sherpas and safaris or extremely alternative design.

Sounds excellent. I hope you do well. The tagline might mention the range and versatility of your goods in some way such as - something for everyone in all walks of life. The luggage tag idea is a good one. The best way of advertising your goods is to get it photographed either on famous person or in a style magazine, better than ads in local ‘papers. You could try sending samples of your stuff to celebrities’ PR agents to see if they’d be interested in them, seriously. Try calling around the women’s magazines with the idea of showing your merchandise in a feature, too. This might seem a bit like the hard sell, but you need advertising!
