I am starting a handmade jewelry business. Need a catchy name?
I make jewelry with Silver, Copper & Gold wire… I wire wrap gemstones and shells, etc. I'm pretty sure I want the name to involve the word "Wire" but want something catchy! Here are some I came up with that I'm not real happy with… Anyone have any better suggestions?
"Wired Up"
"Heavy Metalz"
"Wire Designs by Brandy"
"Wonderful Wire Designs"
?????
Thanks!
Also chainmaille bracelets (think of armor chainmaille) earrings, etc.
Because your jewelry business specializes in one particular medium or style of craft then why not use your own name. Such as Brandy Lastname, Jewelry Artist, or Brandy Lastname, Wired Designs.
If you have built a reputation for quality and unique designs, it is acceptable to use your name as the name of your jewelry business, but try to avoid using your first name alone. Wouldn't you prefer to hear someone say: "That piece was made by the jewelry designer (or wire artist), Brandy Lastname." rather than, "I bought this bracelet at a craft show, I think it was made by someone named Brandy."
There is nothing wrong with using your own name, all the famous designers in the world are known for their names. Donna Karran of New York, Kalvin Klien, Oscar DeLarenta, Christine Dior, Laura Ashley, Levi Strauss, are all well known designer names and consumers pay high prices to own products with these names on them.
As a jewelry designer you too could turn your name into a recognition.

Wire and Ice
This would be a play on the phrase "Fire and Ice"….In this case, the ice would be the jewels….

I would keep wire out of the name. you could call it
simply Brandy———– or Brandy's Bobbles———–
"Branded Jewels————— If you must use wire how about
Wired with Love and have the logo be " WLW "

I like the Wire and Ice name. I would keep your name, Brandy, out of it to make it seem like a large business than it actually is. Give the illusion that you are a big time company with lots of experience and quality products, which I am sure you are, but this way people know it right from the get go.
