Need A Funky Prep Look plus Funky Makeup?

I need a new look for the school year. I want made up eyes and I love jewelry and my makeup. I believe in a bag to go with my outfits. I love colors. I want my outfit to be cute. I do not need stores to go to. I need people to make outfits or tell me how to achieve the look. I love my flip flops and high-heels. Maybe some hair tips. I need some clean cut oufits with some funkiness to them. I think Abercrombie and Hollister outfits are so dull, ugly, expected, and NOT orignal. We all know they cater to surfers and boring wannabe preps. The prep look is old. I need to update it. I love to look cute, but Urban.

You seem to have an idea of how badly I want to go into Hollister and A&F and just start cutting up and modifying their merchandise.
Vintage prep can be really fabulous, e.g. :

Gwen Stefani is a freaking inspiration.

Okay, not the best pic of her, but you get the gist.
Secondhand stores (if you have the patience and time to dig through stuff) can produce some amazing results. Cheap collared shirts, jeans, etc. Staples that you can build your outfits around.
All you need is some creativity. Take some of the clothing you already have, and cut it up. If you can sew, combine articles of clothing, like logos from a sweatshirt sewn to the back of a white, collared, button down shirt. Make some really old jeans into a short skirt, and add navy and white striped material to add length.
Dare combine preppy with animal print …? Just a thought.
Pumps are amazing. I once saw a neon pair with comic strip print on them, and haven’t forgotten them since.
As far as makeup goes, the smoky eyes, or cat-eye eyeliner combined with pastel pink lips are gorgeous. Minimal makeup and red lips is classic. Glossy lips and a multicolored eyeshadow job is out there (e.g. turquoise on the lid, and pink in the crease.)
Go with your gut – if it’s figure flattering and fun, go for it!

Where to buy funky jewelry for a 16-year-old?
