I have heard Zales is not a good quality. I just thought things depend on price, I think now I am wrong. Im just used to hearing Zales or Gordons or I.W. Marks, Jareds, Robbins Brothers. Can some one let me know what is the best for my money. I want to spend around 5-6 K. Thanks

I really want to get my girlfriend a ring for her birthday. but not just any ring. i want to get her a personalized ring. I’ve been looking at tons and tons of sites, but i cant find a good ring. if you find one, make sure the rings can have your names engraved in them and have the birthstones. it doesnt have to be a fancy place like jareds because my budget is only up to $100. Can you guys please help me????

I have ordered some online and my husband said lets go into a store next time. I have already shopped Jareds, Gordons,and Zales. the closest jewelry stores to us is Sears,Jcpenney, Kays and a couple of little ones. Any suggestions? I want good quality,clarity and reasonable priced.

Geez, I bet your a real ball-breaker. If you shopped all those stores and still cant find something you like, I’d bring your a** back down to earth with the backside of my hand.

I’ve never really bought much jewelry before and was looking for a good store that I would be able to buy some jewelry for my girlfriend for Christmas. Would I be ok going to a Helzberg/Jareds/Kay jewelry type of store, or would they be way overpriced and I wouldn’t get my money’s worth out of them? Or are there any smaller Jewelry stores in the area where I can get a better deal on a better cut and quality of jewelry?

It’s my first card, and I used it to pay a gift, but now that I’ve paid off my debt, I don’t want the card anymore because I don’t think I’ll ever buy something at that place (Jared, the jewelry place). What will this do to my credit score? Also, does it affect that I paid the full amount before the first due date? It’s less than $300, but at the moment I didn’t have the full amount (yes I know it’s kind of silly). Please help!
Thank you so much Judy! I should have just never got that card in the first place, but salespeople really know when a naive person is coming in.

The best thing you can do for your life is to have a 0 balance on that card.
Leave it open closing it will affect you negatively in 2 ways.
It will delete part of your "length of credit history" which is 15% of your fico.
It will reduce the overall available limit on all of your cards (in your case it will wipe out your unused available limits bringing your score way down).

Leave that card open for life. They will not close it, unless you start getting bad credit on your report.

Here is the way to get top 800+ scores that will astonish lenders for when you buy a house.
Get a credit card or 2.
Use one for gas, and one for food.
Pay in full each month, the day you get the bill in the mail.
Carrying balances and paying interest on credit cards can destroy your credit and in some cases your life.
It is 100% myth that this is good - something "not smart" people will tell you.
Remember - employers check, so do landlords and car insurance companies.
Never consider carrying a balance, but do get at least one major credit card to use often.
