Is it ok to wear pearl jewellery for my south indian wedding over a kanjivaram sari?
I am getting married in the mangalorean south indian way. Is it ok to wear pearl necklaces, earrings and mangtika..with orange and bright pink kanjivaram sarees. Or is it necessary to wear gold.

Look, if the saree is having some white border in it, then pearl will look awesome. And if some golden work has been done then, try wearing gold. That’s what I can say. Have a happy wedding.

Just been on holiday to new forest and went to salisbury on the last day. I went in this gift shop and i saw this range of mirrors/ jewellery holders and i think candle holders. and the best way to describe them is, it was a womans bust and legs down to her knees wearing jeans a butterfly tattoo on her stomach and glittery unfortunately id run out of money then, but could anybody tell me the name of the gift shop and maybe i could contact them now im more flush. thanx

Depends what type of jewellery it is….I like either.

4 - What type of jewellery do you like best? I like jewellery that is a little unusual…I also love jewellery that has meanings behind it - eg the claddagh ring. Simple but beautiful.

5 - How do you like jewellery to be packaged? not fussed

6 - How much do you spend on jewellery per month? zero! I am thinking of putting a claddagh ring on lay by though to treat myself.

7 - What occasion do you wear jewellery for? I always wear a pair of diamond studs that my mum brought for me. I also normally have a couple of rings and one or two trinkets around my wrist. I don’t need an occasion to wear the things i love.

8 - Do you like dangly pieces of jewellery (earrings and necklaces) Dangly necklaces, yes….as for earrings, I prefer to keep them small and sparkly.

Okay I’m 17, 18 next summer.
On the outside I seem pretty normal though quiet and shy. I dress ordinary though I favour dark colours.
When you get to know me you’ll find that I:
Adore the Victorian era and Victorian Gothic literature
Love Romantic music such as Chopin, Liszt, Schumann - and I also love modern rock music like Placebo and 30 Seconds To Mars
I play piano and guitar and I am learning to speak French and Japanese
I adore Tim Burton movies and anything like gothic fantasy
I’m a writer and something I’m writing involves vampires, set in the 1800s, Anne Rice is my hero

But im NOT a goth - I love kittens, butterflies, pretty jewellery etc

No because I’m exactly the same seriously! Haha it’s so weird but I too am quiet and shy and favour dark colours, love the victorian era and gothic. Love classical music bach, beethoven, mozart, strauss, chopin, liszt, vivaldi, I love all them, but it’s only been a year since I really got into it, my main taste lies in rock, popular music, rnb, glam rock classics, haha I have eclectic taste in music. I’ve been trying to learn guitar and I also have a keyboard. I took french and I’m obsessed with Japanese though I can only speak a few phrases. I’m also a fantasy/supernatural writer, albeita completely amateur one but Rowling is my hero along with my childhood hero Tim Burton of course haha that’s so freaky. I obviously don’t think you’re strange, just cool and a but different from the generic norm which is a good thing in my book

I have some silver jewelry that I put together, it’s not my original designs except for the necklace cords those I design myself. My earrings, I bought the parts wholesale and assembled them together… My necklaces I bought the pendants wholesale.
So are the necklaces more "handmade" than my earrings? Can I put both on etsy? eBay charge way too high fees and I don’t think those powersellers did what I did, assembling the jewelry themselves.

Or should I start my own website using Intuit?

I think you would still qualify for etsy for all of it. If you think about it, much of the ‘handmade’ jewelry there is actually just ‘hand-assembled’ from pre-made or purchased beads, etc. The recycled ‘junk’ jewelry, especially, is just creatively assembled from existing pieces.
The only problem would be if you’re using someone else’s designs without permission. Just using purchased or pre-made pieces or findings doesn’t mean you’re using someone else’s designs, by the way.

overpriced crap. you can get the same thing at kay jewlers or your local jeweler.your paying for their name
